I am a DONA-approved, professionally trained Birth Assistant. I was certified by The Chapman Center in Santa Monica, California, August, 1998. Since then, I have assisted mothers in having their children in many different places and while holding many different beliefs. I have assisted in Home Births, Water Births, High Risk/Hospital Births, and Natural Birth. I’ve also assisted with babies born in Birthing Centers. My philosophy is to support the Mother and Family in bringing their child into the world in the most peaceful and sacred way possible. For more information, I am registered with Williamsport Doulas. What is a Doula?

A doula gives a woman her complete, whole-hearted consideration, experience and presence to make childbirth as wonderful as possible, seeing to the mother’s every need so that she may give all of her attention to the process of bringing a child into the world. I honor her wishes and needs to improve her happiness and the well being of her, her child and her family. I do my best to bring ease, sacredness and joy to the birth experience. I provide support and suggestions for partners that will enhance their experiences of their child’s birth. After the birth, I continue to provide valuable emotional support and guidance to the mother, father and family.

but If you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget.
